Breaking Barriers: Project KKK's Journey to Sanitary Transformation in Barangay Timalang

In the face of a pressing issue - the increasing number of households practicing open defecation - the community of Barangay Timalang took a proactive stance. Their journey towards a cleaner and healthier environment commenced with "Project KKK: Kubeta, Kalusugan, Kasaganaan!" a project that aimed to reduce open defecation practices from 53 to zero household.

The journey began with a proposal to the barangay council, presented on August 30. Encouragingly, the council responded with enthusiasm, expressing their commitment to addressing this pressing issue.

On September 4, Project KKK was officially launched, marking a significant step towards improved sanitation. Health teachings were at the forefront of this initiative, particularly targeting those who still practiced open defecation. To reinforce the importance of proper sanitation practices, Sir Rizalino Cinco, the Municipal Sanitary Inspector, was invited to share his expertise.

Collaboration played a key role in the project's success. Working closely with Sir Melvin Ello, the Municipal Link of 4Ps, over 300 participants were engaged in the initiative. Through these efforts, community members learned about the significance of having toilets and maintaining proper sanitation, setting the stage for a healthier, more hygienic future for Barangay Timalang.
