In our ongoing efforts to enhance community health and prosperity, "Project KKK: Kubeta, Kalusugan, Kasaganaan", spearheaded by Aiza Dahman and Ani-ana Sangkula, continues to make significant strides in Barangay Timalang. This blog post provides an update on the latest developments across the three key pillars of the project: Kubeta, Kalusugan, and Kasaganaan.
"Project KKK: Kubeta" Campaign Update:
During our recent community exposure, we successfully presented the Project KKK: Kubeta initiative to the newly appointed Barangay Officials. We are pleased to announce that they have not only embraced the project but also allocated 18,000 PHP towards the procurement of ceramic toilet seats. This initial funding marks a crucial step forward in our mission to improve sanitation facilities in the barangay. Furthermore, the Barangay Officials have committed to additional funding during our next exposure in November, demonstrating their continued support for the project's success.
Project KKK: Kalusugan Campaign Update:
In line with our commitment to promoting health and hygiene practices, we conducted a comprehensive health teaching session for 205 residents of Barangay Timalang. The session focused on the importance of clean toilets and the health risks associated with open defecation. We were also able to do a small group discussion with those who still practice open defecation, particularly those in the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). By raising awareness and imparting essential knowledge, we aim to empower community members to prioritize sanitation and hygiene practices for the betterment of their health and well-being.
Project KKK: Kasaganaan Campaign Update:
While the Project KKK: Kasaganaan campaign is yet to commence, preparations are underway for its implementation. This campaign serves as a maintenance initiative for the newly established toilet facilities. Our plan involves delegating a dedicated WATCH team tasked with overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of the facilities once we achieve the target of 53 toilets in Barangay Timalang. This proactive approach ensures the longevity and sustainability of our sanitation efforts, contributing to the overall prosperity of the community.
The progress made across the three pillars of Project KKK reflects our commitment to fostering positive change and improving the quality of life in Barangay Timalang. With the support of the Barangay Officials and the active participation of community members, we are confident in our ability to realize the vision of a healthier, more prosperous community. As we continue to advance the Project KKK initiatives, we remain steadfast in our dedication to building a brighter future for all.
