Andam ang Timalang: First Aid and Basic Life Support Training

The 3rd community exposure is the beginning of the implementation phase of the identified community health plans. As part of it, one of our activities is to strengthen the skills and knowledge of the BDRRMC members in accordance with the rules and regulations of NDRRMC. On March 13-14, 2023 basic life support and first aid training were conducted by LDRRMO headed by Sir Kirby Jay Cabanag, and participated by our BDRRMC active members.

On the first day, a brief discussion regarding BDRRMC roles and responsibilities and first aid skills were thought. Participants were grouped into 2 where they competitively participated during the return demonstration and the result was…G1 leads the game.

The second day was a blast! Red Cross instructor, Sir Kevin Barana, lectured on CPR and BDRRMC members did a return demonstration with flying scores! As part of the said event, certification, and tokens were given to the trainers and participants for their enthusiasm and support in achieving our slogan “Panglawas alang sa Timalang” With the help and assistance of our dearest barangay officials, BDRRMC members, and LDRRMO, the event was successful and we were able to tick our objectives off the list. Our dearest BDRRMC members can now confidently respond to barangay emergencies.
