No to Home Delivery Initiatives

For this exposure, there were zero cases of home delivery hence the group continued with the usual monitoring of pregnant residents and along with that the group conducted a pre and post-test among barangay health workers to be able to test their knowledge on must know regarding home deliveries. The Mother’s class was to take place on November, but got moved due to unforeseen events and was rescheduled next year. To end the month of December with a bang, the group conducted the annual Araw ng BHW Recognition Ceremony to be able to give credits to the barangay health workers, barangay nutrition scholars, and most importantly the barangay midwife for their unwavering support, commitment, & dedication to maintain zero home birth deliveries throughout the whole year. Their collaborative effort is truly inspiring and heartwarming. All the efforts are slowly paying off and soon there will be more years to come with no cases of home birth deliveries. A Merry Christmas indeed.
