The prevention of teenage pregnancy remained a vital part of our community health efforts. For this exposure, we were encouraged to learn that Barangay Timalang has reported a continued decrease in teenage pregnancy cases as of April 2025, a positive indicator that education and community interventions are making a difference.
To further strengthen this momentum, we returned to Timalang National High School to facilitate another round of adolescent reproductive health lectures. Students actively participated in the discussions, showing increased awareness and openness to learning about reproductive health.
In addition to school-based activities, our team conducted home visits to pregnant teenagers and young mothers, offering psychosocial support, health education, and referrals to appropriate health services. These visits provided an opportunity to extend our care beyond the classroom and ensure that young mothers are not left behind.
By combining preventive education, consistent engagement, and targeted support, our group remains committed to protecting the health, rights, and futures of the youth in Barangay Timalang.
